OUCH!!!!

Well, how appropo that my last three blogs were about "wild children" ,for we had our first broken bone this week. My poor, sweet, Nathan (you know, the one that will "be fixing his brother and sister's bones in the ER..."), fell off the bathroom counter and broke his distal radius last night. Where was his bigilant mother? She was in the very next room watching wild child # 3 who was climbing on Mommy's bed. In fact all 4 of us were having a nice evening. Daddy was at work late, we spent the whole day at the zoo and had alot of fun w/ Beth and Addisyn. The plan was to go swimming til Daddy returned and to goto gymnastics today. That all changed when I repaired a boo boo (minor) on Nathan's foot with the magical kiss and a band aid. Nathan informed me that boo boos need water to heal and that pool water would not cut it. So, Nolan took him into the bathroom, he climbed onto the counter, put his foot under the faucet (I figured he'd use a cloth), bent to reach the water and fell off doing a "hoop de hoop" before landing on his hand. I have never heard such cries from either boy. Nolan said he felt bad for Nathan then said " I feel bad for myself". When asked why he said: "because I couldn't catch him in time." They have both been very sweet and loving making me proud. Nathan did great after the initial crying and was a champ in the ER. It is not a terrible fracture so only a splint was needed. He was so cute to everyone and the doctor was great. He took note of Nathan's Superman shirt and picked him up into the air and flew him across the ER to look at his x-ray! Pictured with Nathan is his pal Tigger who fractured his paw and was equally as adorable and brave as Nathan. We celebrated today at Chuck E Cheese as gymnastics was out of the question...
