The big day finally came! We arrived home to a joyous celebration with some friends from school; The Tarins and the Isley's. The table was done up in pink with balloons and birthday cake and there were three squealing first graders waiting at the door for Miss Aleah! We enjoyed lunch and baby holding followed by a nap for Nathan, Mommy, and Aleah. When we awoke, dinner was served with our cousins and Uncle Damien and Aunt Kristin. Gregg got to hold his other daughter; Leanna while Emily tended to Aleah. Aleah is one loved little lady and I am sure could always run away to cousin Emily who seems to carry a big dose of the mothering gene! After the Brunets left all three siblings read night time stories and Aleah went to sleep in her bassinet next to Nolan's bed. She was removed for a "feeding" when the kissing couldn't be stopped! We are one blessed family.

Virge,Jim, Annette, Julie, Emilie, Matt, Danielle,Kathy(Tom's wife) and Greg and Marie's Nephew (to whom Virgil was a surrogate Father) all gave stellar tributes to Marie in a very touching and memorable tribute! Kelly Goebel(Matt's wife) did an awesome job on a music and powerpoint presentation. It left me still wanting more! Everything was from the Heart with wit, whimsy and wisdom, The Jim Goebel family really , really, SHINED! I am soooo proud of them and can only imagine how blessed Jim and VIRGE feel!Oh! Marie's face was beautiful to watch through it all with gentle, humble, dignity, and grace! She has strength of character is so obvious and very edifying! Will bring the powerpoint to TX! It was very sweet to learn that every Goebel and Jenkin had browsed this site to meet the Boy's and their new Sister, Aleah! AlesWorld is a blessing to all of us anonymous visitors!!! Matt will be coming with Kelly(you will love her!) to SanAnotio in February for a conference. He is an assist PRINCIPAL! They sold their house, are going to get a bigger one and all of us old folk anticipate the patter of little feet tto follow! Kelly is an awesome teacher and coach who has a special way with kids! And I know who ordered momogrammed baby Things for Aleah! don't worry they will add an A! Aleah is a fabulous already famous lovely name!!! love you all!! mom
