Preparing for a Princess......

We have four weeks left until Little Leah arrives (or less, or more...)! We've been preparing bit by bit all summer. Grandpa Ron and Daddy painted her room and assembled the crib and bookshelves. Pictured here are their hired hands! Today my friend Misty hosted a shower of "pink" with Kristin and my other friend Ann. It is hitting me that I will now have a daughter to goto baby showers with and a whole new take on motherhood! It is especially fun to see everyone's excitement as the big day approaches! You can see we were not lacking in clothes and gifts! Thank-you to everyone for your generous and beautiful gifts! Especially Grandma Sharon and Grandma Suszan who are "tickled pink" so to speak! Grandma Suszan sent the dollhouse bookshelf with some fancy socks and accessories. Grandma Sharon and Grandpa Pierre (he also has a soft side for those wearing pink) sent her very first baby doll; a Madame Alexander Baby Huggums! This is especially meaningful as my first baby was "Aimee"; a baby Huggums from my Aunt Pat and truely she was my one childhood treasure! So, the boys and I restuffed and outfitted Aimee, you can see her on the shelf with the new Huggums. I think they shall be best friends! Daddy bought the "Thank heaven for little girls picture". Great Grandma Betty sent a princess babybook. Cousin Alyssa provided her "I'm the little sister shirt" and Aunt Kristin topped it off with the pink and white rosebud dress we all must have! The smiling little girl above is Ann's daughter Natalie who has already adopted Leah as her sister! Her face says it all; we are excited! Thank-you everyone for your love and excitement! Now all we need is that baby....:)
