In case you haven't heard, Texas has become a rainforest and teh blistering heat of summers past are but a fond memory. This pregnant lady is feeling blessed a bit by the repreive but it is getting a bit old and we are in a new house with a lovely pool that is collecting rain water! Oh well! Nolan said it best today when he said "I thought God promised Noah there would be no more floods and rain...." The conversation continued cutely, I am glad that there will not be an arc in the yard but it feels that way somedays! These pictures were taken by the road that runs behind our subdivision, that flood sign reads two feet and that gushing water is the shoulder of the road (there was a blockade and we did turn around). Thank gooddness Aunt Jeanie mailed us an ant farm and the ants arrived today, we have been watching them burrow. We were lucky enough to get a pack with the queen ant and she really doesn't do a bit of work! Nathan is doing a gymnastic show in the bottom photo. It has been nice to kind of lay around and enjoy eachother. Nolan learned to tie his shoes this week, we have some spectacular pipe cleaner art, and ongoiong monopoly game in the dining room and today Nathan set up an airport in the living room for his flight with the ants! We also terrorized Aunt Kristin's house for a few hours today. And yes, snail hunting on the windows is a real treat! Tomorrow, we are buying Nolan VELCRO unifiorm shoes, I told him I would only buy them if he learned to tie!Wednesday, July 25, 2007
