Well, it is all Uncle Bryan's fault! Since Gregg started a new practice across town with a terrible commute that somewhat limited his expansion possibilities vs. family time, we have been looking for homes across town. We even had our house on the market but had taken it off deciding to wait a year with the new baby on the way etc. Well then Uncle Bryan comes to visit and wants to see the area we have picked. Unfortunately to do that, you have to have a scheduled veiwing of a home because the neighborhood is security gated (trendy in San Antonio). So, Gregg set up a visit and off he went with Bryan and Jodi. They all three return saying that they have found the "perfect" house for us! I said, "you are all emotional, I'll see it next week when you no longer want to buy it" Well, we put in an offer three days later and now, here we are!. Despite a few problems like insects in the house, a hole in the wall, a broken pool pump and yard work to last years, this is a beautiful home. The amazing thing is that the previous owners just redecorated and updated the whole house in our exact color scheme. We literally just picked up and moved in, no redecorating (well a pink nursery is on its way). The boys rooms were in the exact colors of the old house as was the kitchen, livingroom etc. All we had to get were two desk chairs ($20 at a grage sale across the street). We did buy Nolan a full sized bed as Nathan ends up in there more often than not. Another fun thing about the gated community is that we had only seen the house twice (we backleased a few months) and so everyday we discover something new. This house has more character than the other one and beautiful trees and huge windows covered in foilage. We have nice neighbors but haven't found all the kids yet. I had a lemonade stand with the boys in hopes of finding kids. We met a lot of nice adults though! It was fun, Nolan held a sign and Nathan waved. We had 10 cent lemonaid and 12 cent cookies (Nolan priced them) and averaged $1.00 a cup and cookie! People were very sweet and played it up with the boys. I had them take the leftovers to some workers after we were done and the supervisor gave them $5 for two cups of lemonade! They both beleive in "charity" now:). We also attended Vacation bible school at the new school (Catholic VBS!). I volounteered and we met a few people. I shall never forget Sr. Terese in full habit with her guitar singing away! Nolan wants to take lessons now! We are off to the Houston Space Museum this weekend and PJ and Savana our cousins are here. We plan on a slow, lazy summer together before more chaos hits around September 9th! Nolan has a spot picked out in his room so his baby sister can sleep with him her first night home! And Gregg is much more relaxed and now able to take call at the hospital and his dream has always been endless yard work! Thanks Bryan!
